The Battle of Hastings was on the 14th of October in 1066 it was between the Saxons and the Normans and was a revolutionary battle of the Medieval Times that took place in the south of England.
The Saxons leader, Harold Godwinson died by an arrow to the head during the end of the battle. The Norman leader, William of Normandy was gossiped to be dead during the battle. After hearing the news of his own death he rose above everyone and said he was alive. This was a major moment in the battle and gave the Normans a glorious amount of momentum to defeat the Saxons!
